Frequently asked questions
What lubricant is safe to use with the Cadence Extreme urethral sound?
Sterile water-based lubricant only. The Cadence Extreme is not compatible with silicone lubricants. For urethral insertion, using a sterile, dedicated urethral lubricant is strongly recommended over standard personal lubricant.
Is the Cadence Extreme suitable for beginners to urethral sounding?
No. The 14 inch insertable length and the inherent risks of urethral sounding make this device appropriate for experienced sounding users only. Beginners to sounding should start with a shorter, smaller-diameter sound and progress gradually. Always consult a healthcare professional if uncertain.
How do I sterilise the urethral sound?
Because the silicone is non-porous, it can be boiled in water for full sterilisation, cleaned with medical-grade antiseptic, or run through a dishwasher top rack without detergent. Sterilise before every use and immediately after.
How many vibration settings does the Cadence Extreme have?
Three speeds and 7 pulsing patterns, totalling 10 settings, all accessible via a single one-touch cycling button.
What battery does the Cadence Extreme require?
One AAA battery, which is not included. Insert the battery before first use.
